Its better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

A few months back, this would have been a corny line that invited instant ridicule from me. And that was when friends were my life and platonic relationships were the best. Time has had an uncanny knack of proving me wrong on more thana few occasions and yes, its happened again.

Just when i think a windows been opened for sunlight to streak in, doors get closed engulfing me in total darkness. Just when i think that i have met a gal who has everything i wanted in a life-partner: honest, attractive, funny, smart, laughs at my jokes - talk to her and find her even more attractive - and finally ask her out, what does she do..She neither says Yes nor a No but keeps me in limbo. I hear that this is better than getting a response like "I just want to be friends" or "I don't want to risk our friendship" but believe me, i know precisely how i would handle these two. All i would say "I have enough good friends to last me this lifetime and i definitely can't see us staying platonic coz i dont want to live through the agony of knowing what i am missing in life." But when she doesn't give you any indications as to how she feels, what does one do ? How i hate platonic relationships ! Here's hoping that things crystallise pretty soon.
