ET and opinion making ???

Before i get into a detailed analysis of the issues at hand, let me reiterate that ET online is becoming more and more of a commentary on society and the changes in it - Why dont they stick to the economy and let magazines like Women's era and Femina milk stories like these to their hearts content..Please....
Coming to the article itself, i find that i am in a very insiginificant minority amongst the men folk when it comes to issues like working women, their salaries and their career goals..I find it very regressive to even think that men get to choose their women..First i am of the firm opinion that selectign your partner is probably teh most importasnt choice one gets to make in one's life.. remember we never got to chose our parents and relatives.. Maybe friends, yes, but then even friends do not spend 12 hrs a day with us for 40 years.. So marriage is something to important that i do not see why a woman shud not be given the same freedom as a man..And then coming to this career thingy, if a woman has taken pains and made sacrifices to educate herself so that she can lead an independent life, i think its a crime not to let her follow her dreams. And when the foundations of a relationship are based on good understanding of each other, when there is space between the two and at the same time a closeness, how can issues like who is earning more serve as an obstacle ? Cmon, suppose the guy is inclined towards social service and gives up a cushy job to serve humanity but his woman still dreams of making it big in the corporate world, surely the question of who is gonna make more money is obvious. But am I to understand that these things cannot be worked out ? That the woman will not understand the sensitivies of her man and will soon start asserting her authority just because she earns more ? cmon that is bosh..Neway this post has not turned out the way i wanted it to but mebbe its coz i have very strong views on this topic..
Btw, is this the Lopamudra who quit Wipro and who got replaced by Arjun ? Mebbe.....
