Feelin' good
When God closes one door he opens another..Lets forget about what got closed and focus on the new open door..Boss just called me in for a short 10 minute meeting before flying to the US tomorrow..And guess what... I got the MSI letter after all.. another 17% hike.. Feeling really good...It could have been more but i am sure it must have weighed on them that this is the third hike/correction i am getting in the last 15 months..My gross now stands at 6.5 lpa which is more towards what i think i deserve.. Now i better get my act together and do more work :-)
Yesterday evening was amazing in a lot of ways.. It was raining at around 6 pm and i still had a few issues to close so missed the shuttle at 6:15.. Instead took the worst of them all - the 6:45 - and my my was it crowded.. Somehow managed to get a seat but there were atleast 20 ppl standing.. And then it started pouring... Roads became slippery, there was a power cut and traffic signals failed.. Hosur road became such a mess that it took us an hour to reach M2..And then it happened :-)
Very close to that Oxford Dental college, there was a physically challenged man on a stump trying to cross the road amidst the dense traffic.. Everytime he came forward, some van or lorry moved ahead and he had to beat a retreat..Just as i was observing this, there was a lady scooterist on her vehicle near the service lane who could not take it any more. She parked her vehicle, rushed to his side (and it was pouring, mind you) and calmly helped him negotiate the road. I felt like standing up and applauding... twas surely the most beautiful thing i've seen for a looong looong time... Which makes her without a shadow of doubt one of the most beautiful people i've seen in my life.. God's special children...
There is still hope for humanity.
